The Congress is in a hurry to find a single face to lead the elections efforts in the Telangana region. Last two days has seen hectic discussions and show of strength be aspirants for the Pradesh Congress Committee Chief post. As Telangana congress leaders are meeting at the house of Jana Reddy, two leaders from the region are called by the Congress central leadership to visit Delhi immediately. Ex Deputy CM Damodara Raja Narsimha, who is a key leader from the SC community, and former PCC Chief D Srinivas, who represents a strong BC community are already enroute to Delhi. The other two leaders said to be under consideration by congress are Jana Reddy and Jaipal Reddy.
Though there are other contenders to the post in Mukhesh Goud, Danam Nagender, Sridhar Babu, Ponnala Laxmaiah and others.
WHo ever is elected, will have to lead the Congress in the region as the party is finding itself in a distracted, leaderless position. The alliance with TRS, coordination will also be a big responsibility for the person. Presently Jana Reddy is said to be the front runner.
