Hyderabad: The Krishna Phase-III project has set to bring 90 million gallons per day (MGD) of water to the city in the trial run stage. Over 11.5 MGD being run from Kodandapur in Nalgonda to Sahebnagar on the city’s outskirts. And 45 MGD of water will be supplied to the city remaining 45 MGD will be available by june.
The beneficiaries will be the residents at Sainikpuri, Malkajgiri and Alwal area they are receiving water for five-seven days. And the pipeline of 110 km long pipeline between Kodandapur of Nalgonda to Sahebnagar. The 11.5 MGD of water is being pumped from there.
“The trial run involves pumping of after in three states”, said G.Rameshwar Rao, director, Hyderabad Metropolitan water supply and Sewerage Board.
