Several south Indian film stars along with directors have greeted Trisha Krishnan, who turned 33 today. The highly-successful actress has been working on a lady-oriented project Nayaki in which she sang a song too. She expressed her desire to work more on female oriented themes hereafter although she has not said no to glam doll roles.
She got a break in the film industry in 1999 in Jodi, where she played the friend of actress Simran. But her first movie as a leading actress was in 2002 with the film Mounam Pesiyadhe which really catapulted her career. The rest, as they say is history and she is now one of the most famous names in films.
Trisha was born and raised in Chennai and can be called a Tamil beauty in the true sense of the word, because most of the actresses in Kollywood are not from Tamil Nadu. She studied at the Ethiraj College for Women, which has now became really famous thanks to her popularity. She won several beauty pageants in her college days such as Miss Salem and Miss Madras.
