In Warangal at Hanamkonda on Wednesday marking ‘World Disabled Day’, the TRS government has taken steps towards differently-abled persons. The Deputy CM and Assembly Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary said that the government is ready to give all the support and also pension amount.
Deputy C.M said that 45,125 physically challenged persons were identified and gives pension of Rs 1,500 per month and he suggested to the public by saying-“If enough care is taken during pregnancy, disability can be avoided”.
Speaker said that the government is providing separate hostels for students and free education .Also alleged that the previous governments have neglected the disabled groups.
Telangana Physically Challenged Cooperative Society is providing equipments for them.
The Joint Collector Pausumi Basu told-“Education and health play important role in the growth of any person in order to overcome difficulties”.
MLA D Vinay Bhaskar wanted to set up special wing for them at physically challenged support centres.
Child Welfare committee chairman L Anitha Reddy said that the disabled persons need encouragement and not sympathy.
