TRS Party is planning to make its impact in the upcoming GHMC polls. It is evident that the TDP-BJP alliance has grabbed 14 MLAs out of a total 24 seats, apart from winning two of the four Lok Sabha seats in the GHMC area in the recently concluded polls. Reportedly, KCR, the Chief Minister of Telangana and the Chief of TRS Party, has been very keen about winning the maximum seats in GHMC polls.
Despite the fact that TRS has got a clear victory in the recent general elections, the party did not have much impact in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts, as compared to the remaining districts. To compensate the loss the party chief entrusted the assignment to TRS secretary general K Keshava Rao and irrigation minister T Harish Rao as they had successfully pulled off a coup of sorts last month by luring 10 MLCs from the Congress and TDP giving the TRS a majority in the legislative council.
While the TRS is likely to join hands with the MIM which has seven MLAs from the city, Keshava Rao and Harish Rao will hold talks to strike a deal with the Owaisi-led party.
