After ruling out merger with Congress, TRS is said to be considering alliances with smaller parties which might add to the strength of the party on the ground level. It is learnt that the TRS all member meeting yesterday considered joining forces with CPI, CPI ML and MIM.
The understanding with left parties will add to the appeal of TRS at grassroots level across the ten districts, especially in Khammam, Nalgonda where the parties have good local support. MIM will add to the tally of TRS in Hyderabad where TRS may not be very effective in Muslim dominant areas.
TRS leader KCR is said to have indicated allotting upto thirty seats under these adjustments. The after poll alliances, if any, will go any based on local and central realities. KCR himself did not deny possibilities of supporting BJP or Congress based on who ever might be in a status to form next government. He has clearly stated that he would look at strengthening the bargaining power of TRS and Telangana in the near future.
