TRS wins Palair with a huge margin

Tummala-Nageswara-RaoTelangana Rashtra Samiti continued its winning streak with a spectacular win at Palair in Khammam district where a bypoll was held following the death of Congress candidate.

TRS candidate Mr Tummala Nageswara Rao, a minister in KCR cabinet, bagged the seat with a victory margin of 45, 750 votes. He defeated his nearest Congress rival Ms Sucharita Reddy, wife of the diseased Congress MLA.

Mr KT Rama Rao, who shouldered the responsibility of campaign, has worked out methodically and stationed in the constituency for nearly a week and ensure party’s victory. Congress was supported by TDP, BJP but the united fight ended up in failure.

Tummala Nageswara Rao, who is till now a MLC, attributed his victory to party and the welfare and development works of the KCR-led government.
