Hyderabad: The Telangana state government carry out the repairs of 5,135 roads as a part of developing roads at an estimated cost of 1,228 crore. Tummala Nageswara Rao the roads and buildings minister said that post bifurcation were about of 26,986 kms of the national and state highway in the state.
KCR earmarked 2,585 crore which covers 1996 km of roads in the state. And four-lane roads connecting Nizamabad and Khammam districts, 674 crore were released to develop the road between suryapet and khammam and 100 crore for the development of the roads between Ditchpalli and Nizamabad, Nagesware Rao said.
The repairs would be taken up for 349 narrow and bridges over rivers Krishna and Godavari at an estimated cost of 1,974 crore. The roads around important towns like Warangal, Khammam, Nizamabad and Gajwel administrative sanction had been given to 30 crore
