TS, Maha On Pending Projects

Sri_Ram_Sagar_ProjectThe Telangana Irrigation Minister Harish Rao and his Maharashtra counterpart Girish Mahajan discussed on the problem of areas that may submerged. The Maharashtra government had no objection if TS raised the Medigadda project to 103 meters provided no area was submerged. The TS clarified to the Maha that the height of the Tummidihatti project is reduced from 152 meters to 148 meters. TS also said that it put in the back burner the issue of diversification of 160 TMC water from Tummidihatti. TS explained that to avoid the problem of submerging of areas in the two states, it is following the Reverse Pumping method. Both the states decided to bind by the earlier agreements on the barrages to be constructed by the TS on Godavari.
