Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhara Rao has stated that his government would prefer alternate dispute resolution route in the cases relating with the individuals. Addressing the gathering at the 14th All India Meet of the Legal Services Authority in Hyderabad on Saturday, he said: “The focus is on compromise. There are neither court fee nor rigid procedural formalities. Parties can directly interact with the judges which is not allowed in normal courts. Thus it speeds up the process. Cases that are pending in courts can be transferred to Lok Adalats if both the parties agree. This reduces pressure on judicial system. We are committed to reduce the time and cost of the litigation by encouraging the litigation to approach the alternate dispute resolution mechanism. The policy of our government is people’s friendly and we too follow this way”
Supreme Court Chief Justice, judges, High Court judges attend the meet.
