TS Seeks Exclusive Authority over BIE and APSCHE

tg-apTelangana has decided to claim exclusive authority over Tenth Schedule listed institutions located here giving birth to a new controversy between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The Telangana government seeking legal opinion to sought complete authority on the ace institutions like the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) and the AP State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).

The AP Reorganisation Bill, in its Ninth Schedule declares the list of companies and corporations whose assets and liabilities are required to be distributed among two states. The Tenth Schedule of the Bill does not mandate any such partition and the list contains about 50 institutions.

Senior officials of the state possess opinion that these institutions belong to Telangana due to its geographical location. If Andhra Pradesh seeks to get services from these institutions, it has to pay a price.
