Telangana cabinet has decided to constitute BC commission to include or exclude more number of castes and sub-castes. An ordinance to this will be issued shortly, according to K Srihari, Deputy Chief Minister, who briefed the media soon after the cabinet meet ended.
A decision to set up 119 BC Residential Schools and 90 Minority Residential Schools in the state was also taken. Since residential schools have yielded good results, we have decided to promote them in a big way, Mr Srihari said.
The cabinet has almost ratified the decision to enhance the number of district but Mr Srihari did not specify the actual number. “We have already given notification for increasing it to 27. Thousands of requests have poured in later and the Kesava Rao panel has submitted its report to the Chief Minister this morning. The report is being studied by the government and you will come to know the exact number in the final notification” he said.
It is almost final that the number of districts will go up from 10 to 31 as the Chief Minister has already dropped enough indications to make Siricilla (Rajanna), Gadwala (Jogulamba), Asifabad (Komuram Bhim) and Janagaon as districts.
“We have decided to establish four more new police commissionerates at Nizambad, Siddipet, Ramagundam and Karimnagar” the Deputy Chief Minister said.
A Building Tribunal will be set up to take up the disputes in Hyderabad and municipalities. “Following the government’s crackdown on nalas encroachment, several people knocked the doors of High Court seeking justice. To avoid litigation in courts, we decided to set up this tribunal” he said.
