TS Government has issued orders to appoint a committee which will select talented people in different disciplines to be honoured on June 2, the Telangana formation day. Minister Chandulal will be the committee president. Ramana Chary, govt advisor, Balakishan, chairman, Telangana cultural affairs, and chief secretary Rajiv Sharma will be members. Another five experts in different categories were also appointed as members. Chukka Ramiah, Professor Ravva Srihari, Padmaja Reddy. B Narsing Rao and Nandini Reddy will be members. Cultural affairs coordinator will act as convenor.
They are expected to select 50 talented people from 19 disciplines. Each one will get Rs 1,00,116, merit certificate, memento and a shawl. It was also decided to organise celebrations right from 10 pm on June 1, in all district centres. Cultural programmes will be held by local artistes and to mark the occasion crackers will be burnt from 11.55 pm to 12.10 am. Celebrations will start from June 1, and end on June 7. The chief minister ordered that on the last day officers and public representatives must participate in the programmes. Government has also decided to bring 500 artistes from districts for taking part in the cultural programmes to be held in Hyderabad.
