Telangana has almost decided to move Supreme Court against the Krishna Water Disputes Tribunal led by Brajesh Kumar. The cabinet committee met today under the chairmanship of T Harish Rao, Irrigation minister discussed the modalities. A senior Supreme Court lawyer has also attended the meeting and reportedly explained the way forward. Harish, who discussed the issue with chief minister K Chandrasekhara Rao has reportedly conveyed the views of CM to the advocate and other members of the committee.
It’s just a matter of time for the government to file a case against the tribunal award.
The tribunal in its final verdict reiterated that there will be no four-state allocation of water and the water given (1001 ft) to undivided state of AP shall now be divide between Telangana and residuary AP.
