Two more Maoists were gunned down early two day in the Andhra-Odisha Border, taking the death toll in the latest offensive against the outlawed militants to 30. The grey hounds forces, which have been continuing the combing operations in the dense forests for the left-wing extremists who have escaped after the encounter at Gummi near Bejingi, have reportedly involved in yet another encounter near chitrakoot hill area and in the firing two naxals have died. Two SLRs have been seized from the area. Intensive search operations have been on for the fleeing naxals and police officers have asked the naxals to surrender immediately.
24 maoists have died in the ‘encounter’ that had taken place in the wee hours of Monday and three more dead bodies were found in Balimela reservoir.
