Mr. Veerendra Singh’s (BJP) comments on Wednesday sparked fire in the Lok Sabha during discussion on draught. Mr. Singh’s comments that the Congress MPs would allow only the fair skinned persons to be the prime ministers, the Congress members were up in arms. They demanded strong action against the erring member. Mr. Venkaiah Naidu, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, in his turn found fault with the Congress members for tearing papers and throwing them at the desk of the deputy speaker and surging into the well of the house and called Prime Minister Modi a dictator and Hitler He wanted action against the Congress members. Peace was restored after the speaker admonished Mr. Singh.

The series of adjournments continued even on Thursday in the Elders House. The issues of V.K. Singh and the National Herald added fuel to fire. As the members charged into the well of the House, the House was adjourned for the third time on Thursday.
