On Sunday, Venkaiah Naidu who is a Union Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs Minister slams Congress for disturbing Parliament session. The Minister said the government is having an open mind to answer any question being raised by the Opposition parties.
Being a Minister, he said, he was happy to see 315 young and first time elects were performing well.
He said the Congress is trying to disturb the proceedings of the house and demanding suspension of question hour and issue notices for adjournment motions which are unprecedented.
Coming to the issue of Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand Assembly elections Venkaiah Naidu said -“We are ready to discuss the issue. The Opposition demands an answer from the government and when the government is ready for a reply, it stages a walkout. It was during the Congress regime, they passed laws banning conversion from one religion to another in Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh and a similar law was also passed in Gujarat by the BJP government”.
He said that if the ‘Ghar was wrong then conversion too was wrong. If people change their religion out of free will then there would not be any problem. The Centre had said that there needed to be wider and in-depth discussion on the issue. The government and the party had come out openly and condemned certain remarks which were made by some of the members of the BJP.
