The Governor of Maharashtra Ch Vidyasagar Rao, who hails from Karimnagar district, assured T-state that he would put his efforts to resolve the issue of water usage of Godavari rivers between Maharashtra and Telangana.
K Chandrasekhara Rao, Chief Minister Telangana felicitated Mr. Vidyasagar Rao in Hyderabad on Suday. The Maha-Governor praised the CM and installed his hope that KCR would achieve his goal of ‘Bangaru Telangana’ sooner or later.
Vidyasagar Rao further said that he will talk to the newly formed state government of Maharashtra on Godavari issue to take up Pranahita-Chevella major lift irrigation scheme by Telangana.
“, Mr Chandrasekhar Rao has good vision and better understanding on Telangana than anyone and he is really working hard to set things in right direction”, said Vidyasagar Rao.
Vidyasagar Rao and KCR had been political rivals in the past when the current CM defeated the current Maharashtra government from Karimnagar Parliamentary Constituency several times.
Vidyasagar Rao is a stalwart political leader of BJP and was a union minister in Vajpayee government too.
