Vigilance in secretariat

TS AdminChief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao keeps himself abreast of Intelligence chief ‘s day to day reports on secretariat affairs. Chief Minister has appointed 25 to 30 Intelligence sleuths to keep a vigil on PAs and PS’ in the peshis of ministers and top officers. The cm is also of the view to install CC cameras in the peshis of ministers for collecting a first-hand account of what goes on there. The idea was to collect data whether the ministers and officers concerned are doing any productive work useful to public as also to check how far they are involved in any shady deals. The cm is said to be unhappy over the functioning of some of the top brass. Some of the information was being leaked to the media even before a review meeting is held by the Chief Minister. So a vigil has been kept to ascertain who is close to the media persons and the cm has already warned officials concerned not to leak any information in advance. In the wake of such vigilant exercise some people thought it to be a good sign in respect of good governance while others said that they were working under pressure particularly under surveillance.
