Finance and I & B Arun Jaitley laid the foundation stone for new complex of the Ministry of Tourism ‘Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhayay Paryatan Bhawan’ at Mandir Marg in New Delhi on the occasion of World Tourism Day. It is a must to increase India’s share in world tourism by making a strong tourism policy and stressed on low cost tourism to attract
tourists, he said. Clean railway stations and low and medium budget hotels is vital to attract tourists he said and added creating strong tourism infrastructure is as well must. The new Paryatan Bhawan will provide a base for working on all aspects of tourism and increasing the potential of tourism and it is important to take the help of States, he said. Tourism also helps in women empowerment and youth employment.
