‘War of Words’ in the midst of Medak by-election

Medak-by-electionMedak is the centre of political activism these days as it has to witness poll on September 13 for Lok Sabha seat. The triangular affair of election has become a ‘war of words’ as almost every leader of the state has something to share or reply.

The election is a matter of prestige for TRS as it is going for the poll after its chief resigned as MP to become the first CM of Telangana. MP Kavitha and Minister Harish Rao took the steering to attack BJP-TDP alliance.

“Jagga Reddy is known anti-Telangana leader. He put up a stiff opposed to the division of the state. He is a turncoat”, said Kavitha questioning the candidature of Jagga Reddy.

Responding to the question raised by CM’s daughter, A Revanth Reddy of TDP said that TRS seems still under effect of hangover. The party should understand that despite odds, the TDP had polled good number of votes and had won fairly good number of seats.

He accused KCR for ignoring the promises he had made to the people.

Meanwhile, Kishan Reddy, state president of BJP came in support of his party candidate, saying, “Jagga Reddy was originally a BJP man and he had started his career in ABVP. He was the only man who could take on KCR and hence the party fielded him when he expressed his desire to stage a home coming”.

In the course, Sunitha Laxma Reddy said that her strategy for elections would be to highlight the loopholes of the government in implementing loan waiver, resolving power crisis and preventing farmers’ suicides. She attacked the CM saying his mood is still of the agitation.

Reportedly, the Congress campaign will be monitored jointly by Ponnala Laxmaiah and K Jana Reddy.
