The regular tap supply of water is completely out of order and people are forced to pay as much as Rs. 300 for a water bottle. People are complaining that there was no water supplied through the tankers till now in many areas.
The electricity is also not restored on the third day. The whole city was under the grip of darkness last night, people fearing of thieves and other uncertainties.
Added to the pain is not working ATMs. People, who had their money in banks, are unable to use it in the most difficult time of their lives. People have gone almost cash-less giving an opportunity to the greed of the retailers to sell essentials at the highest possible rates. It was noted that tomato is being sold at Rs. 80 per kg while milk was sold at Rs. 80 per litre.
Petrol was sold at Rs. 100 per litre while an egg is costing Rs. 15.
According to the officials, about 6 Lakh people are in the relief camps set up by the administration.
