We will Fight for Zero Deaths through HIV: Health Minister

T-RajaiahOn World AIDS day on Monday, the Deputy CM & Health Minister, T Rajaiah announced that the TS Government will give Rs 1000 for HIV infected People. He mentioned that the state will be free of HIV/AIDS very soon.

The Government has also doubled the nutrition pack for the HIV patients to 60kg. The pack contains Rice, dal, jiggery, wheat flour etc.

Deputy CM also concerns that number of HIV +ve cases in our state is more and stands 4th position in the country, preceding three states Maharashtra, A.P, Karnataka for HIV cases.

He also said that, “We will fight for zero deaths through HIV in the State”.

For controlling AIDS, not only in the Prevention of Parent to Child Transmission Centre (PPCTC) for pregnant women, the Andhra Pradesh State AIDS Control Society (APSACS) will be strengthening the screening in the State by setting up new centers for men also. So that government can increase awareness among men.

Setting up free health testing centers in colleges and in corporate offices helps the public to get aware of it.
