The TRS party has conducted an extra ordinary all member meeting today to discuss the poll trends, the assessment of the peoples’mandate, the role TRS has to play in the future. After the meeting, KCR spoke to the media extensively and has expressed confidence that TRS will get an absolute majority and will form the first government in Telangana without the need for any alliances.

About the assembly, Lok Sabha elections, the TRS will win many more seats than needed for forming the government, whereas the Congress number may go down from the earlier projected 35 to less than 30, opined KCR. “Not only Nothern Telangana, in Southern Telangana too, TRS will win major seats, in Rangareddy, in Mahabub Nagar, in Nalgonda, including the city, TRS will stand the major party. It will enter into Khammam too this time….
The Congress party, leaders like Ponnala Lakshmaiah are continuing with their cheap politics, spreading rumors that about 20 leaders from TRS are planning to split from the party. They are also saying that TRS is planning a camp to hold all of its candidates. They should desist from such downgraded politics, they should wait for the verdict of the people first, instead of planning these silly ploys which are not going to work, as TRS is going to get an absolute majority….
In Seemandhra, Jagan is going to form the government, winning more than 100 seats. Chandra Babu is a finished story. He will be neither here, nor there. As we will be neighbors, I will look into maintaining cordial relations with Jagan since many issues are yet to be dealt with between the two states….
If the Congress/ UPA is in a position to form the government in the center, it will be my first preference, I have said it openly earlier too, without Soniaji’s initiative, Telangana would not have formed, I have that regard for Soniaji, I am thankful to her, So, I will remain with UPA if Rahul is in a position to become the PM with my help, other wise I will look at forming a Third Front, talks with parties are already on, but there is no question of supporting NDA…
With regard to division of properties, employees and assets, we have been clear that we are against options, we have also said that the Seemandhra administration be given separate place to function; The issue of preponing the Appointed Day will wait for the Center’s opinion on the issue, but the on going division of properties etc, is just a preliminary exercise, nothing will be separated till two governments are actually in place…
We will have a press meet again at four o clock on the 16th of May after the election results are announced,” concluded KCR.
