Welfare of Scribes-Committed to Government

allamIn Khammam Allam Narayana Telangana State Press Academy chairman said on Monday that for the welfare of journalists government would spend Rs 10 crore. He was at the program organized at the Training and Technology Development Centre. Narayana said the education scheme for children of journalists and provision of health cards for the families of journalists has been introduced for the first time in Telangana. Narayana also met Collector Dr K Ilambarithi and requested to hand over 10.20 acres of government land allocated to the Journalist Housing Society. Narayana brought to the Collector’s notice that the land belonged to the society. He requested the Collector to cancel the orders issued by his predecessor on March 14, 2013, allowing construction of the school. He informed that the State government had issued a GO 206 on February 20, 2009, allocating the land to 102 journalists in survey number 147 at Velugumatla. Ilambarithi assured him to take appropriate measures after examining the case details.
