Congress MPs have held a breakfast meeting at Peddapalli MP Vivek’s residence this morning. MPs Ponnam Prabhakar, Anjan Kumar Yadav, Gutha Sukhender Reddy, and Sircilla Rajayya have attended the meeting which discussed mainly the issue of untimely rains wrecking havoc in Telangana, the ongoing state resources division process and the emerging political situation in the state.
The MPs have written a letter to the Governor to take immediate relief measures for the farmers who have lost their produce in the untimely rains. Wet grains, discolored grains should be bought by the government at a special price, MPs requested.They have urged for a financial package to the mango producing farmers.
The employees and resources division should happen transparently, they opined. Domicile of the employee should be the basic criteria, without giving any options, the MPs suggested. Existing offices and structures should be given to Telangana and the Seemandhra government offices can be established elsewhere, the MPs suggested. MCRHRD should be a good place to house Seemandhra administration, opined the T Cong MPs.
The MPs have given a joint statement that just as they played a lead role in the Telangana struggle, they will take a lead role in the renaissance efforts of the new state too. Emerging political situation in the state, the role leaders to be elected have to play, the role of Congress was part of the discussion of the MPs.
