Women shouldn’t be modern: Yesudas

yes“Women shouldn’t wear jeans, as it goes against Indian culture”, said the Legendary Singer Yesudas.

According to him, wearing jeans and roaming around seeks the attention of others. They shouldn’t wear jeans and display themselves. Yesudas told this at a function on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti in Thiruvananthapuram on October 2nd.

“Women’s beauty is in their simplicity, which is the greatest quality in women”, said the 74 year old singer.

Within minutes of his controversial remarks, activists from Kerala unit of Congress’ women’s

wing organized a protest march outside the state secretariat.

“Women should have the freedom to wear what they want to. He has to take his words back”, said Bindu Krishna, Mahila Congress Chief.
