Etela Rajender, the Finance and the Civil Supplies Minister of Telangana, on Wednesday said that ground-level members and activists had always been the backbone of the TRS. Etela was addressing the district-level party meeting in Karimnagar today.
Nizamabad MP K Kavitha and other MLA’s of the party were also present.
Mr. Rajender termed the party members as the ‘foundation for the party’. He further promised that the workers who are working tirelessly for the party will be recognized duly.
The cabinet minister asked the party members to make the public meeting successful along with the plenary session, slated to be held in Hyderabad on October 11 and 12.
He blamed TDP and Congress for the power crisis in the state. “Farmers and industries are facing hard times due to power shortage,” he said.
“A total of 900 MW power is not being supplied from Krishnapatnam to Telangana state. Many power projects have not been completed due to shortage of funds and so we are experiencing power crisis”, he added.
