Supreme Court adjourned the hearing on the death sentence enquiry of Mumbai blasts case accused Yakub Memon to next day. Memon’s advocates filed a petition seeking stay on the death sentence but the Maharashtra government put forth the arguments stating that the death sentence should be implemented. On behalf of government attorney general Mukul Rohatgi argued in the court stating that Memon was responsible for many innocent persons’ death and so he should be hanged. The court will hear the arguments of defense lawyers. The court directed the petitioner to furnish more information tomorrow.
