The former external affairs minister Yashwant Sinha said that, “Whenever crisis hits society, a supreme personality emerges to deal with it. And Jayaprakash Narayan was like that supreme personality”.
He added that, “But again things become the same after some days after the restoration, because evil dominates human nature. We have to take a pledge that we will tread the path shown by JP, who dedicated his life for values”.
Sinha asked, “Jayaprakash Narayan never asked anything for himself. He did not accept any position. How many people are there to follow his footsteps?”
On the occasion of JP’s birth anniversary, he addressed the gathering which was jointly organised by 74 Chetna Manch and JP Vichar Manch, the two organizations formed by Jayaprakash Narayan’s followers who went to jail during Emergency.
