Prime Minister may speak without a script on I-Day

v6Prime Minister Narendra Modi is definitely a fluent orator but will he dare to speak extempore when he makes his first Independence Day speech at Delhi’s Red Fort? There are chances likely that Modi will become the first PM of India to speak out of script from Red Fort.

With just a day left for the important speech, there is a growing feeling in the ruling party circles that the PM should not compromise his spontaneity to the discipline of a scripted speech and stick to his natural self.

Narendra Modi will reach the eventful venue at around 7:20 am. He will unfurl the flag after a Guard of Honour. Later, he will speak to the nation on this auspicious day. His speech may last for 45 to 60 mins.

The other good orators of the ruling party and the ministers in the government, namely, Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, Education Minister Smriti Irani, Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister Ananth Kumar and Power Minister Piyush Goyal have been asked by Modi to help him in preparing his speech.
