The State BJP seems to have landed between the devil and the deep sea more so after Reventh Reddy, TDP MLA, was caught red handed in the controversial note for vote scandal which has become a burning topic in the State. Saffron party leaders have been discussing whether to continue friendship with TDP. They are in a volatile state. They are also unable to decide whether to flay TDP or support it but a debate is going on in their party to keep distance from the cycle as it may incur the wrath of people and other parties in the wake of said scandal.
On the other they are equally scared that snapping ties with TDP is said to be also not in the interests of their high command. Party is said to be discussing this aspect and seniors also kept mum over the said issue to avoid any rupture between the two parties. Saffron requires cycle support in GHMC elections to counter their rival MIM, according to sources. The TRS-MIM tie-up is on the cards as of now. In this background Piyush Goyal, Union Minister State (IC) for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy, met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at his residence today. Goyal came on an official tour.
